About Me: Tasia Pena-Rodriguez

personal blog
I am a 7th grade Science teacher at Brooks Middle School in Oak Park. This is my first year at Brooks. I started teaching in 2009 at CPS and each year has been drastically different. From the students, to the content I am teaching, the teachers I work with, the school itself. I am always growing as a person and as an educator.

On my downtime (summer time), I like to read Science Fiction novels. My favorite novels are Ready Player One by Ernest Cline, Wool, Dust, and Shift by Hugh Howey. My guilty pleasure books are books by Gena Showalter and Kresley Cole.

I currently have 2 female cats, Eva and Jezebel, a chameleon, Ramon, and a bird named... Bird.
